Perception distortion
Auditory
- Other people’s speech sounds distorted to you
- You feel unable to follow a conversation, or an inability to reconcile words being spoken with the movement of a person’s mouth
- You experience a time delay between people's speech and your comprehension of what they’re saying
Visual
- False sensations of moving (such as feeling like you’re falling through the bed or chair, or as if parts of your body are moving away)
- You’re “seeing things” (For example, flashing lights; inanimate objects appearing to be moving; people appearing flat, one-dimensional, and paper-like; buildings leaning; floors undulating in wave-like movements)
Taste
- Metallic or other tastes in your mouth
